Champions Soccer Tournament APPLICATION description
The Champions Tournament is a competition organized by UEFA since the season 1955-56 (since 1992-93 in its current format) for football clubs that obtain the best rankings in domestic tournaments.
The prize, the European Champion Clubs Cup (better known as the European Cup), is the most prestigious trophy in European football.
The tournament consists of several stages. In the current molds, the competition starts in the second half of July, with three qualifying knockouts. The 16 surviving teams join 16 others, who were previously qualified, thus forming eight groups of four teams each.
