A Rádio Cidadania foi outorgada em 03 de setembro de 2005 sendo a partir desta data umas das 06 rádios comunitária da região metropolitana desta capital a funcionar regularmente, onde a mesma neste ano de 2017 vai completar 12 anos de funcionamento ajudando assim a divulgar e ajudar as comunidades carentes da regional se transformando assim na voz da comunidade.
