Clear Voicemail Notification (UNMAINTAINED) APPLICATION description

This app has not been maintained since Android 6.0. It may not work on newer Android versions since I haven't had the time to update it.

This app requires root access!

This is a very straightforward app that gets rid of the non-swipable voicemail icon. It does this by clearing data for the com.android.phone or com.android.server.telecom process which makes the notification.

With start-at-boot functionality, the app will remove the notification at startup (Optional, enabled by default). The app can also remove the notification when you exit Aeroplane Mode.
Once you have the app configured correctly, this means that you can leave it and forget it's there as it will do its job automatically.

NOTE: This app does NOT delete your actual voicemail. This simply gets rid of the notification.

WARNING: Because voicemail and calls are handled by the same process, clearing the voicemail notification will also remove "Missed Call" notifications. This will NOT modify your call logs though.

Features:
- Clear voicemail notification manually
- Clear notification automatically at boot
- Clear notification automatically when Aeroplane Mode is deactivated
- Widget for 1-click removal

Common questions and solutions
Q: Removing the notification at boot / on aeroplane Mode change (sometimes) does not seem to work, but everything else does - how to fix?
A: Try increasing the "Startup auto-clear delay" or "Aeroplane Mode auto-clear" option (respectively). Sometimes the app will be started by the system at boot before the notification appears, so nothing happens. Increasing the delay should fix the problem.

Q: Why does the app need root access?
A: Without root, user apps cannot dismiss another app's persistent notification due to Google security restrictions.

Q: Using this app, the notification clears, but keeps coming back after a few seconds/minutes. How do I fix this
A: There is an experimental alternative method provided in v1.0.7. Try enabling it and clearing again.

Q: The app does not work for me and my device is rooted. What should I do?
A: Please send me an email containing your device name, model and Android version (example: LG Nexus 5 D820, Android 5.1.1) and describe the problem you encounter so I can fix it.
