E o mais importante, é um conjunto de normas absolutamente imprescindível, trazendo a público o esforço de atualização da ordem jurídica, a partir das contribuições emanadas da jurisprudência e do trabalho de grandes juristas brasileiros. Por meio do Código, é garantido ao povo brasileiro o conhecimento e a participação necessários ao exercício da cidadania. The Civil Code went on to establish ethical and legal limits to the practices of citizens, and reflect the stage of maturity of Brazilian society.
