Yep! Ameelio believes that staying connected with your loved ones and paying for basic needs shouldn't be a tradeoff. You’ll never have to pay for a video call with us.

So, what is Ameelio anyway?
Ameelio is a nonprofit, and our mission is to build free-to-use communications technology to create a more humane and rehabilitative corrections system. You may recognize the name from our free mailing app ‘Ameelio: Free Photo Cards & Letters to Prison’, but we’re only getting started.

When will Ameelio Connect be available in my facility?
We're gradually expanding to serve every facility in Iowa and Colorado by 2022! If your loved one isn’t incarcerated in these states, don’t worry. Ameelio is working hard with policymakers and DOCs across the country to make free video calling a reality for everyone!

*Note: This service is currently only available to those who have loved ones incarcerated at the Iowa Correctional Institution for Women (ICIW) and Clarinda Correctional Facility (CCF). In order to use the service, you must already be listed as an approved caller.
