La Constitución Política de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos es la carta magna que rige actualmente en México. Es el marco político y legal para la organización y relación del gobierno federal con los estados, los ciudadanos, y todas las personas que viven o visitan el país. La actual Constitución es una aportación de la tradición jurídica mexicana al constitucionalismo universal, dado que fue la primera constitución de la historia en incluir los derechos sociales,1 2 dos años antes que la Constitución de Weimar de 1919. La Constitución fue promulgada por el Congreso Constituyente el 5 de febrero de 1917 y entró en vigor el 1 de mayo del mismo año.
The Constitution of the United Mexican States is currently governing charter in Mexico. The current Constitution was contributed by the Mexican legal tradition universal constitutionalism, since it was the first constitution in history to include social rights, 1 2 two years before the Weimar Constitution of 1919. The Constitution was passed by the Constituent Assembly on February 5, 1917 and entered into force on May 1 of that year.
