CORTEX Biosemiotics

Rapidly perform hashing, semantic mapping and decoding of arbitrary complex vocal signals (such as animal calls and birdsongs). Designed for ethologists, linguists and researchers in the fields of animal communication and behavior.

CORTEX utilizes auto pitch to create "SonoGlyphs" -- highly compressed, hashed representations of signals, which are automatically used to build an associative network correlating signals with tags of observed behavior and stimuli.

When similar sonoglyphs are detected, CORTEX will pick and display its most likely semantic match.

"Record" listens to microphone and extracts dominant pitch data.
"Hash" converts pitch data to trim-able SonoGlyphs
"Update" stores behavioral tags with SonoGlyphs in local memory
"Save" writes the entire database from local memory to SD card or top directory as "cortex_biosemiotics.txt"

Manually saving is optional, as data is automatically saved whenever the back button is pressed to close the app.
