Date Checker APPLICATION description
Well, they are actually '"Display Until" codes. In other words they are effectively the "Best By" date for the fruit or vegetable packet.
The codes are really quite tricky to make sense of because they follow a standard called ISO 8601. In this standard a year can have between 52 and 53 weeks, and up to 371 days!
Date Checker comes to the rescue because it converts these peculiar 4 digit codes to normal dates. It even tells you the codes to look out for using a traffic light system to ensure that you pick the item that will last the longest. It also shows you the codes to avoid because the item has past its "Best By" date.
Date Checker is ad-free and very simple and easy to use. Just open the app on your phone or tablet and you will immediately see the date code for today, plus codes for any number of days either side of these. It's then a piece of cake (or fruit!) to check your fruit or veg pack to see how many days it has left before it should be eaten.
