DIY mason jar ideas

Mason Jar is all the rage for home decor. There are a million ways you can decorate them and here I will show you a Fall plane that even your kids can be stabbed. This mason decoupaged mason project cost less than $ 5. I always have Mod Podge in hand, and the artisan jars only cost me a dollar each from my local Dollar Tree. This autumn leaves are not real, but try using real leaves as well. I find that the artificial leaf works better because the decoupage media moistens the leaf fabric, allowing easier application. I bought a fake leaf package from a dollar store as well. If you know how to separate, you know how to do this project! It may take some time, but this craft makes a nice Autumn decoration for home.

The sponge brush is optional for this project, as some people tend to only use their fingers to apply. Personally, I like to use a sponge brush on a paint brush, and I also use my fingers when needed. First, make sure the outside of your jar is clean. Gently clean with rubbing alcohol to get fat and dirt from outside the jug. The leaves will not stick if the jar is oily or dirty. Then make sure your leaves are soft. Bend a little to loosen it. Rigid leaves will not stick. If they are thin, leaf fabric, they should easily form around the jar. If they are real leaves, you may want to muffle them a bit (almost leaves become after rain) to release them. You can also iron the leaves of the fabric at once to loosen the fibers. To separate, place your brush in Mod Podge and paint a thin layer on the jar section. After the coating becomes very sticky (check by wiping your finger on it), place the leaf on top of the jar. Paint more Mod Podge above the leaves in a thin layer, making sure to smoothed the edges. Start in the middle of the leaf, and push the exit to the edge with your fingers. It may take several layers, but the leaves should stick to the jars. I have to press a few times to keep the leaves attached; but like a dry Podge Mod, it should be. Do not be afraid to use your fingers to smooth the leaves to be completely safe. Coat more leaves on top, fill the tube with as many as you want. I did not close my bottle completely, because I liked some negative space between the leaves. After all the leaves are active, it will take several hours to completely dry. The small edge of the leaf may not be fully down, but when the view is over, you barely even notice it.
