The Walking Dead is a television series created and produced by Robert Kirkman and Frank Darabont, based on the homonymous comic by Robert Kirkman. The series is set in a post-apocalyptic world and stars Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), a police officer who wakes up from a coma to find that civilization has disappeared due to an unexplained phenomenon that causes dead people to become stand up and attack living people, transforming them in turn into "dead walkers" (walking dead).
