ERGO Lock Screen APPLICATION description
Replace your PIN or password with biometrics. ERGO™ is a state of the art ear biometric authentication application designed as a lock screen solution for Android smartphones.
CAPTURING A SCAN
Press your ear to the center of the phone's screen when capturing a scan to create a profile or authenticate. ERGO™ relies on the touch screen impression and additional sensors (including the accelerometer) to measure the phone's tilt at the precise moment the ear taps the phone. The best advice for new users is to be consistent when scanning.
We have added an extra layer of security on the app itself, preventing someone from changing your profile without authenticating into the application first. We also added a feature that will monitor the quality of your scans and prompt you to recreate your profile if your authentication scans begin to exceed the quality of your profile.
PERMISSIONS
Read phone status and identity: Since ERGO™ is a lock screen alternative we need the ability to monitor the current lock state of your device.
Disable your screen lock: ERGO™ utilizes the standard Android locking mechanism to secure your device and needs a way to dismiss it when you successfully authenticate.
Run at startup: Allows ERGO™ to run when you boot your device
Full network access: Network access is only used for bug tracking as we never transmit any personal information. See our privacy policy for further details.
Device administrator: Device administrator is required for ERGO™ to lock and unlock your device properly.
