Fil-Am Radio 24/7 APPLICATION description
FilAm Radio is attempting to build a broadcasting network amongst the huge and fast-expanding population of Filipino-Americans in the Bay Area with an eye on linking up with other anchor stations in the West Coast and in the Pacific Northwest.
The pioneering broadcast program’s goal is to present more relevant socio-civic data, educational and cultural information designed purposely to help cement together generations of younger Filipino-Americans born in the U.S. with their first-generation immigrant cousins. As a public service project, the two-day week-end programming would attract commercial businesses such as airlines, banking and remittance services, cargo forwarders, insurance companies, local government, as well as non-profit social services to link up with a big population and a very potent consumer market.
FilAm Radio is envisioned and positioned as an influential social and civic platform that could transform into an enduring community institution and will serve as a template for all other ethnic community groups to duplicate as a bridge to their disconnected populations.

The pioneering weekly broadcast airs through KEST AM 1450 Khz every Saturdays 2PM-4PM and Sundays 2PM-5PM and proudly spotlights the Filipino’s socio-cultural ways in the Bay Area, in the west coast and even around the world. FilAm Radio carries news, views and events of our time plus important information from interviews with specialists and experts in various fields. Light banter, conversation, entertainment, cultural insights and traditional Philippine music.
