Shidiq Hasan Khon rahimahullah berkata, “Hadits-hadits tegas yang menjelaskan mengenai sujud sahwi kadang menyebutkan bahwa sujud sahwi terletak sebelum salam dan kadang pula sesudah salam. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa boleh melakukan sujud sahwi sebelum ataukah sesudah salam. Akan tetapi lebih bagus jika sujud sahwi ini mengikuti cara yang telah dicontohkan oleh Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. Jika ada dalil yang menjelaskan bahwa sujud sahwi ketika itu sebelum salam, maka hendaklah dilakukan sebelum salam. Begitu pula jika ada dalil yang menjelaskan bahwa sujud sahwi ketika itu sesudah salam, maka hendaklah dilakukan sesudah salam. Selain hal ini, maka di situ ada pilihan. Akan tetapi, memilih sujud sahwi sebelum atau sesudah salam itu hanya sunnah Shidiq Khon Hasan rahimahullah said, "The hadiths firm that explain the prostration for forgetfulness is sometimes said that the prostration for forgetfulness is located before the salutation and sometimes also after greeting. This shows that should perform prostration for forgetfulness before or after the greeting. However nicer if prostration for forgetfulness is following the way that has been exemplified by the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. If there is the argument that explains that when the prostration for forgetfulness before the salutation, then let be done before the greeting. Similarly, if there is the argument that explains that the prostration for forgetfulness when it was after the greeting, then let performed after the greeting.
