Firebolt APPLICATION description
This is an app that controls Firebolt which will be available in April 2017. Currently the Firebolt Kickstarter is launched and this app is launched for demo purposes. We created this app that can be
used to program the Firebolt LEDs to create your own unique lighting uses. It is a fully functional app however since it controls fFirebolt, it can't be directly used at this time.
Firebolt information - we created Firebolt to be the only phone case you'll ever need for your smartphone. Smartphones these days have awesome cameras that continue to advance but due to their thin sizes, smartphones typically can barely fit small LEDs for a tiny flash light. This limits their ability to capture great looking pictures in low light conditions. Smartphone flash has only white LEDs so it is not possible to adjust any color hues except using color editing software to to fix colors later. However, these image editing softwares can not give the same richness to the pictures as an original shot with just the right light.
We created Firebolt with high power multi-color LEDs that provide very high intensity light. Firebolt produces up to 2000 lumens, which is over 20 times the light than a typical smartphone flash produces. This amount of light will truly make a huge difference in your low light shots from your phone. In addition, the color LEDs allow you to create the right mix of colors to adjust the color hue while you shoot, to create much richer looking pictures. Firebolt's red LEDs can also for red eye reduction mode, that is missing in our smartphones.
Compared to smartphone's tiny flashlight, Firebolt serves as an extra bright flashlight which is great in the dark outdoors or indoors.
Firebolt's LEDs can also be programmed as a caller ID to flash in specific color patterns for calls and texts from your favorite contacts. Firebolt also has an infrared LED that can offer interesting applications using the IR technology with 3rd party apps.
Perhaps the most fun feature of Firebolt is its party light mode that can light up a party with super bright colored LED lights synced to the beats of your music. Now you can carry your own party lights to any party, right in your pocket.
Firebolt can be used as a colored smart light that lights up the room and changes its color based on the mood. It is much brighter than the Philips Hue smart bulb. What’s more - it fits in your pocket to travel with you. You can set just the right mood by setting Firebolt to fill the room with the right color for any moment such as a romantic time to a personal relaxing time.
Firebolt also serves as a great night light that can be programmed to help you sleep in soothing light. You can also program Firebolt's smart alarm mode to wake you up with gently increasing natural looking light.

Our engineering team has worked very hard to make Firebolt a reality. We have lined up suppliers and partners who bring extensive experience in manufacturing of complex optical and electronic systems. We have fully developed Firebolt hardware and the Android App which is now available in Google Play for you to test drive for free. In addition we will also offer an iOS app when the Firebolt ships. Firebolt will be initially available in Black, Blue, Red, White, Pink, and Gray colors.
We plan to raise approximately $100,000 to build commercial molds for high quality cases as well as scale up manufacturing to commercial quantities. The money will also be used to port our Android app to iOS and create several designs and colors for popular smartphones.
