A descentralização dentro da cidade se dá por meio do Palco sobre Rodas onde são oferecidos espetáculos que circulam pelos bairros de Blumenau, além dos espaços alternativos exigidos pelas próprias montagens dos espetáculos das Mostras.
Estimulando o desenvolvimento artístico e cultural do estado de Santa Catarina e projetando a FURB no âmbito do país e da América Latina, o festival é uma fonte multiplicadora e irradiadora de saberes que se harmonizam por meio da síntese entre ensino, pesquisa e extensão.
