Flexible Machine Monitor Lite

The Flexible Machine Monitor is a system that detects if a machine is running or idle. It also can detect cutting performance on any CNC Machine Tool.

Simply mount a tablet or phone to a machine and configure the software settings. It will graph and record the vibration magnitude and will send an automatic notification if the machine has stopped or if the vibration exceeded normal operation levels.

It has the ability to determine if a process is getting out of control or if a machine is sitting idle. It works with its intelligent vibration analysis software and device sensors. Vibration data is recorded and graphed so operators can determine if the machine is behaving normally or if the process is changing due to tool wear, bar stock whip, part moving in work holding, etc. It is also a helpful tool for testing different tooling and feeds and speeds. Instructions for use:

1) Mount your device to the machine with the supplied brackets.
2) Turn off the settings pages by selecting the check box
3) Before running the machine record the current reading for axis 1,2,3
4) All axis should be close to 0 when not running. If a axis reads a value larger than 3 you can but a -3 (or the opposite of what you see) in that axis modifier box. Example Axis#1 reads -25. Put a positive 25 in Axis #1 modifier box in the settings page.
5) Once the current reading is close to 0 run a part (1 cycle) and watch vibration graph. Record the max value.
6) If any monitoring axis doesn't respond ignore that axis in the settings page
7) Changes the Scaling if needed in the settings page
8) Full version only in the settings page you can set it to send a Notification alarm if you get a large vibration or if the machine stops running for a extended amount of time (assumes a machine alarm).

Full version-

The full version is made up of a Samsung Galaxy 4 Tablet with vibration detection and The Flexible CNC Machine Monitor Software loaded. Special vibration translating magnetic mounting brackets and a power cable are included so it will mount to any machine tool. A internet connection is required to send out notifications to operators.
