  • When updating Flickr
    One has to be careful
    To add the right features
    Lest we get an earful.

But there's no need to worry
    In this particular case;
    What's been added in 4.5.0
    Is particularly ace.

    Long missing from Flickr,
    That crucial MacGuffin:
    You now can partake
    In your Group Discussions.

    - Start and participate in group discussions.
    - Sort your camera roll by date uploaded.

The more i use it, the more i hate it. Flickr website and this Flickr app, there is just a fraction of website functionality available here. Adding pics to groups is not easy as you have to scroll and find your group from some hundreds in the list. Then most Flickr groups ask you to add 'their comment codes'; that is NOT POSSIBLE AT ALL in this app leaving the social feature of Flickr website unavailable to the app users. I would be ok with all that if at least i could access those features on Flickr website on phone, but someone has put in efforts to make the real Flickr unavailable to mobile users.

The app functionality is very good and intuitive but the color reproduction on the photos is abysmal. If you look at the same pictures through a mobile web browser, you'll notice that the colors in this mobile app are ridiculously grey with the contrast turned down and a slightly blue tint. Pretty bad for an app designed for photography. If they fix the color issue, I would rate this an easy 4-5.

Flickr app not connecting to Flickr site but forwards to Yahoo Mail credentials and profile site. Not allowing me to upload photos from phone or tablet. Work around is to not use Flickr app but desktop computer and Flickr website. Flickr app failed to connect to Flickr site using LG V10 smartphone and LG tablet. Tried different devices and different accounts with same failed results.

Huge space for photos. Multiple choices for photo editing. Detailed information on every photo. Thanks for that! But the uploader doesn't work as it should! For example, it uploads all unnecessary wallpapers and screenshots and photos received in Whatsap, messenger, etc., but it DOESN'T automatically upload the photos in Snapseed folder, for example. WTH? I don't want the wallpapers and the screenshots! I want my pictures!

The link between yahoo app and flickr app is a pain on the butt. Remove yahoo. Flickr signs out. Reinstall yahoo. Need to reinstall flickr. Can we not link these? Seriously pain in the behind! Yahoo app is too glitchy lately on it's own!

I have used Flickr from its inception. All my pictures are there. I really wish this app was more responsive. Each time I launch it, it pulls the pics from the cloud. Many times, even on WiFi, I'm stuck with it loading. I wish it cached the pics locally or something.

Love everything about Flickr,but...the backup/sync has continually run for the last several days even though a photos are there. When you click on the backup/sync circle it shows 3 of 4 photos backing up but freezes there. there's no way to see where or which photo isn't loading properly.Unlike Onedrive or even google photos, which show photo by photo as they are being backed up and when there's a problem you can stop the upload and or remove the photo that's causing the problem.

Yahoo and its app... I just love it!

I love Flickr but there's a lot of features are missing on mobile version on ios and android .

A fairly decent flickr app, it's easy to use and generally works very well. Still plenty of room for improvement though and features missing that are available via a browser. Images are often slow to load up, or just fail to do so on mobile data (other flickr apps don't have a problem). Better caching of images and being able to store offline. Adding description / people during upload. Being able to manually mark/geotag a location on a map. Finally an update! Last one was months and months ago.
