By adding garden soil, compost, or bottomless substrate to the raised bed, you can supply the ground with the nutrients your plants need. If the ground level is high, you should bend over less to weeds and water and do another gardening. To avoid displacing raised beds with vegetables, they can be planted in the shade to protect them from weeds.
