Gatebook APPLICATION description
Gatebook is designed to eliminate the inconvenience and frustration of having to ask friends to open
electronic communal gates activated via mobile phones.
It allows a permitted visitor entrance to a closed community by accessing a registered mobile number
for the use of that particular gate. This function happens in a passive manner and does not require the
involvement of the registered user.
This application is created to be useful and convenient for the user.
Often in modern day society safety precautions have been taken to prevent crime and create protected
suburbs and household areas.
Such as the electronic gates at the entrance to many residential areas.
This is activated by a mobile number that is registered to grant access to that particular gate.
Unfortunately for the gain of peace of mind and security, a great inconvenience and frustration exists
with allowing visitors or staff that need access to the area but are not allowed to be registered to the
gate.
This involves calling the registered user and them making a further call to the gate, granting them
entrance.
However, if the registered user is unavailable due to being in a meeting, sleeping, or other. The result
ends in the guest waiting often for extended periods of time without assistance.
So Gatebook has been created to eliminate this daily repetitive dependency.
Firstly the resident with access to their gate will be required to add their gate to Gatebook. Once the
gate is added they can grant access to all users who request it from them.
The guest who is not registered to the gate, will have to send a request to a user that is registered to
that gate.
Once their contact has accepted their request, they will type the name of the gate into their search bar
and that contact will appear.
They will from then on be able to access the area through this app.
At any time the registered user can decline access and further delete the contact to no longer give them
permission.
It is recommended that a guest have more than one contact to a particular gate to ensure that
