GeoBoids GAME description
GeoBoids are creatures from another dimension who have been pushed into our space due to a rip in the time/space continuum. They need our help to return home!
The GeoBoids game uses Augmented Reality (AR) to embed the GeoBoids in the current view as seen from the camera of your device. The game provides several tools to help you accomplish your missions.
How to play:
In Field Mode, you use a map showing your current location as well as the locations of flocks of GeoBoids around you. Your job is to run to each flock location and capture all the GeoBoids in the flock using the AR View before the time runs out. Once you have captured a flock, use the map to find the next one, and repeat the exercise. For each Field-Mode Session you complete, you will be given a "Time Boost" that can be triggered in Arcade Mode to extend the time for completing a level.
In Arcade Mode, you play successive AR levels of capture sessions in AR view, each one more challenging than the previous. This mode is more suitable for play while sitting in a swivel chair or standing.
Capture all GeoBoids before the time runs out.
- Aim your phone toward a GeoBoid so that it is centred within the on-screen reticle and swipe from the bottom corners towards the reticle to send a capture bubble towards the GeoBoid.
- Each captured GeoBoid extends the time and gives you points.
- GeoBoids get frightened when they hear tones within a certain pitch. You can whistle a tone for a couple of seconds into the microphone of your phone to make the GeoBoids flock together, making them easier to capture. But using whistles reduces the number of points you get for capturing them. Tap on the microphone icon before you start whistle.
- Since the GeoBoids are all around you, some of them will be off screen. An on-screen radar view located at the lower-left shows the locations of GeoBoids around you. Additionally, 3D audio tells you the location of GeoBoids around you.
