Equusense accepted me onto the yard and started teaching me Monty Roberts techniques and methods, allowing me to work with animals who came to us with many different problems and also youngsters that\nneeded starting. My love for rehabilitation and starting youngsters grew from there and 3 years later i have decided to try and have a little go of my own, and help some ponies where i can. Georgie Jenkins Equine is a home based business based in North Dorset. I have worked with horses for 25 years, working my way through various pony clubs and riding clubs, eventually competing at\nan intermediate level in British eventing and Dressage. Competition is still a strong passion and occasionally i attend locally based competitions and qualifiers where possible. However in the summer\nof 2008, I started working for a therapy yard in Mappowder, Dorset.

My business is small scale at the moment but im hoping to expand with more rehabilitation liveries or schooling liveries.
\nMy business operates around problem horses and youngsters and i use a combination of Monty Roberts teachings and traditional horsemanship. It all depends on the individual as to which method works\nbest with them, but my approach is always kind and consistent.

\nMy facilities consist of 6 acres of grazing, 8 stables and soon to have an all weather surface too in one of the smaller fields, so ill have a nice small scale menage to work in. The hacking is\nbrilliant, and i am surrounded by cross country courses, so its a great education for novices.

\nI also specialize in re-training ex-racers and can help move them on into different careers, allowing them to progress into new homes concentrating on dressage, show jumping or eventing. However i am\nmore than happy to help re-school an ex-racer for a life as a happy hackable hack!

Not only do i take on horses of all shapes and sizes to help move them on and improve their quality of life, i also take on call outs. So if you have a problem that you just cant get past, then\ngive me a call and i can come out to you and help you on site. This can be anything from ground manners to a ridden issue.
