Goulash Recipes - goulash is a meat and vegetable soup, seasoned with peppers and other spices. Originating from medieval Hungary, curry is a popular food mostly eaten in Central Europe but also in other parts of Europe.Its origins go back to the 9th century for stews eaten by Hungarian shepherds. Then, cooked and seasoned meat is dried with the help of the sun and packed into a bag produced from a sheep's stomach, requiring only water to make it into food. Earlier goulash versions did not include paprika, as it was not introduced to the Old World until the 16th century. It is one of Hungary's national dishes and a state symbol.
