Graphic Arts Dictionary

Typography is one of the four great inventions of our country. At that time, it was labor intensive and time consuming art works. Even the wooden movable types were invented. But with tens of thousands of types, it still failed to simplify the entire process. Instead, western letters plus symbols are nearly hundred, therefore, lead casting movable type will soon become an important player in publishing industry. Coupled with the rapid development of machinery, automatic line casting machine emerged in the nineteenth century. It makes the typesetting into an automatic stage. During the period, although other types of printing process were in continuous development, I will not mention here.

When twenty-first century into the full computerization of operations, all image making, color separation, full pagination, computer to plate, color management, etc. all are done by the computer and software. So there are many new vocabularies formed. After many years of collecting vocabularies and terms from hundreds of printing, computer and related software books, and spend a long time for typing, editing, and then completed the first printed edition of dictionary. Then with continuous adding new vocabularies and terms to make currently 14,375 words version, engineering arduous vast imagined.

Because paper book is heavy, not easy to carry, so the circulation is limited. Today, tablet computers and mobile phones are very common in the world.
