Harpa Cristã - Free

A Harpa Cristã é o hinário oficial das Assembleias de Deus no Brasil, foi lançada em 1922. Com 640 hinos, ela foi especialmente organizada com o objetivo de enlevar o cântico congregacional e proporcionar o louvor a Deus em diversas liturgias da igreja: culto público, santa ceia, batismo, casamento, apresentação de criança, etc.

No início da sua história, a Assembleia de Deus não possuía um hinário próprio. Para sanar esta necessidade era utilizado o hinário Salmos e Hinos, organizado pelos fundadores da Igreja Evangélica Fluminense, Dr Robert Kalley e Sarah Poulton Kalley.

A primeira edição inglesa, data do ano de 1855, contava com 27 títulos (10 salmos e 17 hinos) e foi editada em Londres. Já a primeira edição brasileira, de 1861, era composta por 50 títulos (18salmos e 32 hinos), foi usada pela primeira vez em 17 de novembro de 1861, seis anos depois da chegada ao Brasil. Esta coleção foi a primeira coletânea de hinos evangélicos em língua portuguesa organizada no Brasil. Também foi primeiro hinário usado por diversas denominações.

Hoje com aproximadamente 150 anos, tem mais de 500 hinos.
Entrementes, as peculiaridades que distinguia a nova igreja das igrejas evangélicas tradicionais fez surgir em 1921 o Cantor Pentecostal. Editado pela tipografia Guajarina sob orientação de Almeida Sobrinho tinha 44 hinos e 10 corinhos. O Cantor Pentecostal foi distribuído pela Assembleias de Deus de Belém/PA, que, naquela época, achava-se localizada na Travessa 9 de Janeiro, 75.

Passado um ano da publicação do Cantor Pentecostal é lançado no Recife-PE a primeira edição da Harpa Cristã. Aos cuidados do Pastor Adriano Nobre, surge o hinário oficial da Igreja Assembleia de Deus com uma tiragem de 1.000 exemplares, distribuídos para todo o Brasil pelo missionário Samuel Nyström. A segunda edição da Harpa Cristã , já como 300 hinos, foi impressa nas Oficinas Irmãos Pangeti, no Rio de Janeiro, em 1923.

Em junho de 1931 foi lançado o Psaltério Pentecostal, para suprir a escassez de Harpa Cristã,tendo como editor responsável: Gunnar Vingren. Este hinário foi impresso pelo Estabelecimento Gráfico Fernandes & Rohe, Rio de Janeiro, 1931. Nove anos depois, em 1932, a Harpa Cristã já contava com 400 hinos.

With 640 songs, it was specially organized for the purpose of overjoy congregational singing and give praise to God in various liturgies of the church, public worship, holy Communion, baptism, marriage, child's presentation, etc.

At the beginning of its history, the Assembly of God did not have its own hymnal. To address this need was used hymnal Psalms and Hymns, organized by the founders of the Evangelical Church Fluminense, Dr Robert Kalley Kalley and Sarah Poulton.

The first English edition, dates back to 1855, it had 27 titles (10 psalms and hymns 17) and was published in London. Already the first Brazilian edition, 1861, consisted of 50 titles (18salmos and 32 songs), was used for the first time on November 17, 1861, six years after the arrival in Brazil.
