High Street Fashion for Women APPLICATION description
When children get to a certain age, they start to care about how they look and they want to dress in the high street fashions. That means they want to pay more for their clothes
If they don't have a part time job that means it will cost you a lot more to buy the clothes that your child wants. This will mean more stress on you and they won't understand it when you say no. They will think that they are just trying to control them, when actually; you just can't afford the high street look.
How much is the high street look?
The high street is filled with brand name clothing stores. The average price of a pair of jeans is over £100 for an adult. Your child probably won't care about this because they assume that they are in kid's sizes and so you won't have to pay the premium prices.
However, kids sizes in brand stores only go up to age 11. If your kid is 12 and they have started growing at an extended rate, then you will have to pay premium prices and the jeans might only last them a few months, until they have grown again.
This means that dressing your child will cost you thousands if they want to dress in high street brands. The average family is not going to be able to afford that. Unless, they get smart with their shopping.
Do they care about the actual look?
Some kids will just want to wear the brand names, but they don't actually care about the look of the clothes. They would wear a brown paper bag if there is a brand name on it.
Therefore, you have the option of shopping at outlet stores because they won't care that the items are from last year's fashions. You will know that fashions circle, so what is fashionable now, has been in fashion before.
So, when you go to the outlet stores and they have items from the winter, when it is approaching the summer months, you will be able to buy some items and you child will be extremely happy.
When fashion matters
However, some children will want to wear the clothes that are in fashion right now. This is because they want to look good in front of their friends and they want to fit in.
If this is the case, then you don't have many options other than saving up or asking the child to get a part time job to help pay for their clothes. If the child is under 16, then this is not an option though.
Online
You do have the option to shop online though. Online stores are often cheaper than high street stores and if you choose a fashion website, then they will have the same items as the high street stores. Your child will be happy with the clothes and you will have more money in your pocket.
Some online stores actually stock the items that the high street stores stock and they sell them for up to 80% off the retail price. This is because they have bought their items in bulk from the stores themselves.
These are the items that did not sell and they are just sitting on the shelves in the stock room. There is nothing wrong with the items, they are just surplus and the stores aren't going to sell them. They do sell on the fashion websites though.

Petite women should avoid chunky clothes and strong prints. Instead go for fitted shapes and soft fabrics, narrow belts subtle contrasts of colour and texture. Keep everything streamlined so as not to cut the body in half.
Busty women should wear eye-catching skirts (shorter if you are comfortable) and trousers, strong prints and colours or textures draw the eye away from the top half of the body. Wearing a single block of colour is thinning. Avoid eye-catching tops, instead wear long jackets that draw the eye down. Darker coloured tops which are loose fitting and waist hugging.
Pear shaped women should love vertical lines, V-necks and skirts with slits up the side. Straight of A-line skirts to just below the knee. Dark tights and shoes with colour or pattern in a blouse or top, tops should hang past the hips. Classic cuts on top in lighter colours draw the eye away from the hips.
