The Common English Bible (CEB) is an English translation of the Holy Bible whose language is intended to be at a comfortable reading level for the majority of English Bible readers.
The Common English Bible is unlike any other Holy Bible translation. It's uncommon in that it's the newest translation by the largest number of biblical scholars & church.
The Common English Bible (CEB) translation was begun in late 2008 and was finished in 2011.It includes the deuterocanonical books, or apocrypha, that are found in the Catholic Church and Orthodox Church canons.
The Common English Bible (CEB) attempts to substitute more natural wording for traditional biblical terminology. For instance, where most Holy Bibles use the term "son of man" in the Old Testament (e.g. Ezekiel 2:1) the Common English Bible (CEB) translates it as "human." In the New Testament where Jesus uses the Greek version of this term of himself - probably with messianic overtones - the Common English Bible (CEB) renders it "the Human One."[13] Another example of common English is substituting "harass" for "persecute": "If the world harassed me, it will harass you too," (John 15:20).
