IECA

Seit 2005 steht die Internationale Event & Congress-Akademie (IECA) für innovative Bildungsangebote im Bereich Event- und Kongresswirtschaft. Die Gründung der Akademie ist auf eine Initiative des ehemaligen m:con Geschäftsführers Michel Maugé zurückzuführen, der die Notwendigkeit für eine intensivere Aus- und Weiterbildung erkannte. Kern des umfangreichen Angebots der IECA ist die Fortbildung zum International Event Organiser (IEO). Die EU standardisierte im Rahmen des Projekts “Leonardo da Vinci” 2004 das Berufsbild des IEO auf europäischer Ebene. Im gleichen Jahr wurde der Kurs zum International Event Organiser am Mannheimer Congress College, dem Vorläufer der IECA, eingeführt. Innerhalb von zwölf Monaten werden die Teilnehmer berufsbegleitend in allen Bereichen der Kongress-, Event- und Tagungsbranche ausgebildet. Experten vermitteln den Absolventen eine professionelle Weiterbildung, die Praxis und Theorie effizient miteinander verbindet. Die Lerninhalte umfassen Projektmanagement, Veranstaltungsmarketing, Budgetierung und rechtliche Grundlagen. Seit 2010 ist die Weiterbildung von der Industrie- und Handelskammer zertifiziert - ein Beweis für die hohe Qualität der Kursinhalte.
Zusätzlich bietet die Akademie offene Seminare zu aktuellen Themen sowohl in Mannheim also auch im neuen m:con-Hauptstadtbüro in Berlin an. Since 2005, the International Event & Congress Academy (IECA) stands for innovative educational programs in the field of event and congress industry. In addition, the Academy offers open seminars on current issues both in Mannheim so in the new m: con-capital office in Berlin.
