Mit der intelligenten IP-Steckdose WeMo Switch von belkin können alle elektrischen Geräte im Haus automatisch ein- und ausgeschaltet werden. Weil der Standby-Modus so umgangen wird kann, spart man viel Energie. Beim Verlassen der Wohnung einfach mit einem Fingertip alles ausschalten und so geht´s: http://youtu.be/zZaQl2CEd0A Mit einem späteren Update kann sogar der Stromverbrauch aller IP Steckdosen im Haus getrackt werden. So lässt sich genau feststellen, wer die größten Stromfresser sind.
Mit der Integration von Nest Thermostaten lassen sich SUMITs anlegen, die morgens beim Verlassen der Wohnung automatisch die Heizung herunterfahren und sie am Abend wieder aufdrehen, BEVOR man nach Hause kommt. So ist die Wohnung warm, wenn man heimkommt und trotzdem muss die Heizung tagsüber nicht laufen. Auch hier kann kräftig Energie gespart werden. iHaus erkennt, ob auf Nachhauseweg erhöhtes Verkehrsaufkommen herrscht. Stellt iHaus eine Verzögerung fest, dreht es die Heizung auch automatisch erst später wieder auf um Energie zu sparen. Erkennt iHaus z.B. eine Verzögerung von 12 Minuten auf der gewohnten Route, geht die Heizung tatsächlich erst 12 Minuten später wieder an. Aufs Jahr gerechnet, lässt sich so einiges an Heizkosten einsparen.
