De 1983 a 1988 a Igreja foi liderada pelos Pastores Isaias, Heder e Mauro, que deram valorosas contribuições à denominação. Em 1989 assumiu o Pr. Sinvaldo Coelho, esse, logo começou a movimentar a Igreja, que na época contava com 25 membros. Jovem, altruísta e visionário, sonhava com um grande templo onde centenas de pessoas pudessem se reunir. Junto com técnicos e artistas, desenhou a primeira maquete. O planejamento do templo da Paulo Leal era algo improvável para os padrões da época e quando a planta da obra ficou pronta, todos se assustaram, diante de tamanha grandeza.

Nove anos depois a Metodista Wesleyana era uma Igreja imponente com 268 membros, uma referencia como denominação Evangélica em Porto Velho. Pr. Sinvaldo foi quem abriu as congregações que logo se tornaram Igrejas como a da Calama, da Floresta, do Areal e do Jamari. No ano de 2000 Pr. Calegari assumiu a liderança da Igreja, com o desafio de fazer a sede Educacional, isto é, aumentar o prédio em cinco andares, uma estrutura que pudesse absorver a Escola Bíblica Dominical e outros departamentos da Igreja, o que de fato aconteceu.

Em cinco anos já era necessário migrar para um lugar maior, quando, então, surgiu a oportunidade de locação do imóvel na 7 de setembro com Marechal Deodoro, onde são realizados os cultos até hoje. A partir de 2012 novas necessidades se apresentam e o Pr. Ricardo Alexandre, líder da Igreja há dois anos, tem um grande desafio,”ADQUIRIR A CASA PRÓPRIA”. Um sonho que brota simultaneamente no seu coração e no coração da igreja. Por isso, nesse momento, junho de 2012, nasce o projeto NOSSA CASA. Um desafio para todos nós que sonhamos em fazer parte dessa história cheia de glórias, lutas e bênçãos.
