In the Beginner stencil mode the apps main focus is on capturing the most visible lines and edges. By only giving you the bare essentials to work off of, you have a very clean lined pattern ready for use with thermal fax machine. This mode works great for tattoo style flash art that has been finalized with color or black and gray scales. The more refined your image you begin with, the better your stencil conversion will be. Even saving few minutes has already helped make your business that much more efficient.
In Advanced mode the app is more diligent in its pattern rendering and along with defining your most prominent edges it also is designed to search out and distinguish details with extreme attention to detail. Searching out the even the most gradual change in texture it exposes the details hiding in areas that have more depth, all while precisely outlining different textures such as wrinkles in skin, strands of hair, direction and motion of fur etc.. This mode is used best with high quality images for photo realism such as portraits, animals landscapes etc.. With a Dual Slider system you can effectively manipulate the intensity of the detail in your stencil. Create more detail in the stencil or reduce the noise in the background. Intensify the black in the design by increasing the shadows or solid black depending on how you like your stencil. Creating stencils for animals can be especially tedious. This mode captures and portrays fur and hair with precision and ease. This is where Inkster really helps you save time by helping you reduce stress involved with trying to get a "just passing through" client in the chair by shaving hours from the tattoo process.
Expert mode gives you complete image turned in a halftone pattern. Now while most artists prefer lines there are those who like to see every part of their stencil as they are tattooing. This mode allows our users to see the entire image converted to a readable stencil in half tone. This mode is great for all types of imagery and is used best by adjusting the brightness to its highest setting. This enables the half tone to portray the features of desired stencil subject matter in its most readable format. Because it is a presented in a haft tone pattern the thermal fax machine will not gum up as with images that have lower than black gradients such as smudges and smears.
