IP Alphaville APPLICATION description
Em 16 de setembro de 1984, a Igreja Presbiteriana Unida de São Paulo estabeleceu em Alphaville uma congregação, liderada pelo então Presbítero Carlos Alberto Brito Braz. Na época, não havia nenhum
trabalho desenvolvido por igrejas evangélicas naquele bairro.
Iniciaram-se reuniões em residências do bairro até que houve a necessidade de realizar os cultos num local maior. Após autorização, foi realizado o primeiro culto de instalação dos trabalhos da Congregação de Alphaville, no Instituto Presbiteriano Mackenzie Tamboré, no dia 20 de Julho de 1985.
Os cultos permaneceram neste local até serem transferidos para o endereço atual, no dia 20 de dezembro de 1987. As celebrações eram realizadas em um pequeno edifício, que atualmente é o salão social da igreja. Em 1991, o templo atual, ainda que inacabado, passou a ser utilizado.
Em 22 de setembro de 1991, a congregação foi organizada como Igreja Presbiteriana e foi instalado como pastor evangelista o Rev. Carlos Alberto Brito Braz, que concluíra seu curso de teologia e fora ordenado pastor em janeiro de 1989. Em 2000 foi outorgado à igreja o direito real de uso do terreno anexo à igreja (atual quadra / estacionamento) e em 2002 foi ampliado em mais dois pavimentos o edifício de classes para a Escola Dominical.
Em 2005, o Rev. Carlos Alberto Brito Braz tornou-se pastor Emérito e o Rev. Hilder Campagnuci Stutz assumiu como Pastor titular da IPAlpha. Naquele ano de 2008, o templo foi ampliado para poder acolher 500 pessoas.
