iSleepOutside

iSleepOutside is designed to let you record your trips and outdoor sleepovers in with details, and then display as much interesting and useful data to you as possible. Its designed to make it easy to remember every hiking trip and outdoors experience.

The app saves your info about temperature, weather and sleeping conditons. It also saves the location of your trip, so you can review all your trips in a map or see nights spent outside broken down by location.

Permission:
- The app needs permission so create and use a local db on your phone for all the info.
- The app needs locations permission to save locationdata related to your trip. This can be turned off inside the app.
- The app needs Internet and localization for the map.

Click “Record” when you pack up on the last night of the trip. You can click the date-labels at the top to set the start- and end-times. Proceed to change the sliders you are interested in recording.

There is no need to input the data you are not interested in - and you can actually quickly hide sliders from both “Recording” and “Stats” by going to “Settings” and unchecking them. It is recommended that you always slide all of the, though, since a lot of the graphs depend on it.

If you have enabled “Location” the app will check to see if you have ever had a sleepover within 100 meters before. If not, you will be asked to enter a name for this new location (for example “Garden” or “Besseggen”). The location is stored with your session, and is used to display data later.

“Recording” finally lets you review your trip before it is saved. Any fields with no input, including location, will simply be saved with “No input”.

Once you have started recording your sessions, its time to enjoy the data. Go to “Stats” to see it displayed in various ways. The options should be fairly self-explanatory. This part of the app of course grows increasingly interesting over time.
