Jornada Corazón y Cerebro

Durante mucho tiempo hemos asumido que, como consecuencia de las circunstancias generales y de los tratamientos, los niños con cardiopatía invariablemente tenían un porcentaje de complicaciones neurológicas y concentramos todos nuestros esfuerzos en minimizarlas. Ahora sin embargo, nos resulta evidente que la situación es mucho más compleja, que hay muchos factores implicados ya presentes antes del nacimiento y que tenemos que cambiar completamente nuestro enfoque preventivo, diagnóstico y terapéutico.

Por otro lado las consultas pediátricas, cardiológicas y neurológicas, han notado un notable incremento de motivos que hace unos años no conocíamos y que conviene poner en claro y unificar estrategias.

Creemos que es oportuno crear un foro en el que converjamos distintos especialistas y distintos enfoques y por ello esta Primera Jornada, que a buen seguro será el inicio de futuras reuniones

For a long time we have assumed that, because of the general circumstances and treatment, children with heart disease invariably had a percentage of neurological complications and concentrate all our efforts to minimize them. Now, however, we find it clear that the situation is much more complex, there are many factors involved already present before birth and we have to completely change our preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic approach.

On the other hand pediatric, cardiological and neurological consultations have noticed a significant increase in reasons a few years ago we did not know and should clarify and unify strategies.

We believe it is appropriate to create a forum in which converjamos different specialists and different approaches and therefore this first day, which surely will be the beginning of future meetings
