＜収録曲＞---
「聖者の行進」「アルプス一万尺」「十字架に帰ろう」…アメリカの伝統曲と民謡です。
「聖者の行進」は黒人霊歌のひとつです。
現在ではスポーツなどの堜援歌として定番の歌となっています。
日本でもCMなどに你われており、有名な曲ではないでしょうか。
「アルプス一万尺」は独立戦争の時の愛国歌です。
この曲のルーツは不明な点が多いようです。
一説にはオランダの植民地の小作農たちが歌った曲が原型ともいわれており、また別の一説ではイギリス人医師がフレンチ・インディアン戦争時に作詞したものともいわれています。
日本での訳詞の作者は不明ですが、子供の手遊び歌として広く親しまれています。
「十字架に帰ろう」はアメリカの民謡です。
日本人歌手が歌うなどして聞かれることがあるようです。
