Persyaratan Umum Instalasi Listrik tahun 2000 (PUIL 2000) merupakan hasil penyempurnaan Peraturan Umum Instalasi Listrik 1987 dengan memperhatikan standar IEC, terutama terbitan TC 64 “Electrical Installations of Buildings” dan standar internasional lainnya yang berkaitan.

Berikut adalah definisi dari istilah-istilah kelistrikan yang sering kita temui. Diurutkan berdasarkan urutan alpahabet.

aparat (listrik),

armatur
luminair tanpa lampu, lihat definisi luminair.
arus beban lebih (suatu sirkit)
arus lebih yang terjadi dalam sirkit pada waktu tidak ada gangguan listrik.
(overload current (of a circuit)) - IEV 826-05-07.
arus bocoran
a) (pada suatu instalasi) - arus yang dalam keadaan tidak ada gangguan mengalir ke bumi atau ke bagian konduktif ekstra dalam sirkit;

CATATAN: Arus ini dapat mempunyai komponen kapasitif termasuk yang dihasilkan dari penggunaan kapasitor yang disengaja. (leakage current (in an installation)) - IEV 826-03-08.

b) arus dalam lintas lain selain yang diinginkan karena isolasi tidak sempurna.
(leakage current (syn. earth current)) - IEV 151-03-35.
arus bocoran bumi
semua arus bocoran dan arus kapasitif antara suatu penghantar dan bumi.
(earth current) - IEV 151.

arus gangguan
arus yang mengalir di titik tertentu pada jaringan listrik karena gangguan di titik lain pada jaringan tersebut. (fault current) - IEV 603-02-25.

arus hubung pendek

a) arus lebih yang diakibatkan oleh gangguan impedans yang sangat kecil mendekati nol antara dua penghantar aktif yang dalam kondisi operasi normal berbeda potensialnya. (short-circuit current) - IEV 441.

b) arus lebih karena hubung pendek yang disebabkan oleh gangguan atau hubungan yang
salah pada sirkit listrik. (short-circuit current) - IEV 441.

c) arus yang mengalir di titik tertentu pada jaringan listrik akibat hubungan pendek di titik lain pada jaringan tersebut. (short-circuit current) - IEV 603-02-27.

arus lebih

a) arus dengan nilai melebihi nilai pengenal tertinggi; (overcurrent) - IEV 151, 441.

b) setiap arus yang melebihi nilai pengenalnya; untuk penghantar, nilai pengenalnya adalah Kemampuan Hantar Arus (KHA) penghantar yang bersangkutan.

arus operasi (arus kerja)
nilai arus yang pada atau di atas nilai tersebut pelepas (release) dapat bekerja.
(operating current (of an overcurrent release)) - IEV 441-16-45.

arus pengenal

a) arus operasi yang mendasari pembuatan perlengkapan listrik.

b) (belitan suatu transformator) - arus yang mengalir lewat terminal saluran suatu belitan transformator, yang diperoleh dengan membagi daya pengenal oleh tegangan pengenal belitan tersebut dan faktor fase yang tepat. (rated current (of a winding of a transformer)) - IEV 421-04-05.

arus sisa
jumlah aljabar nilai arus sesaat, yang mengalir melalui semua penghantar aktif suatu sirkit pada suatu titik instalasi listrik.
(residual current) - IEV 826-03-09.

arus sisa operasi
arus terkecil yang dapat mengetripkan gawai proteksi arus sisa dalam waktu yang
ditentukan.

arus trip (arus bidas)
arus yang menyebabkan gawai proteksi bekerja.

B

bagian aktif
penghantar atau bagian konduktif yang dimaksudkan untuk dilistriki pada pemakaian normal; termasuk di dalamnya penghantar netral, tetapi berdasarkan perjanjian (konvensi) tidak termasuk penghantar PEN.

CATATAN Bagian aktif ini tidak berarti dapat menyebabkan risiko kejut listrik. (live part) - IEV 826-03-01.

bagian konduktif
bagian yang mampu menghantarkan arus walaupun tidak harus digunakan untuk mengalirkan arus pelayanan. (conductive part) - IEV 441-11-09.

Bagian Konduktif Ekstra (BKE)
bagian konduktif yang tidak merupakan bagian dari instalasi listrik dan dapat menimbulkan potensial, biasanya potensial bumi. (extraneous conductive part) - IEV 826-03-03.

Bagian Konduktif Luar (BKL)
lihat definisi Bagian Konduktif Ekstra. General Requirements for Electrical Installations in 2000 (PUIL 2000) is the result of the improvement of the General Regulation of Electrical Installation 1987 with respect to the standards IEC, especially the issue of TC 64 "Electrical Installations of Buildings" and other relevant international standards.

more load current (a circuit)
overcurrent occurs in the circuit at the time of no power interruptions.
(Overload current (of a circuit)) - IEV 826-05-07.
leakage current
a) (in an installation) - current in the absence of flow disturbances to earth or to the extra conductive parts in the circuit;

NOTE: This current may have a capacitive component including that resulting from the deliberate use of capacitors. (Leakage current (in an installation)) - IEV 826-03-08.

b) other than the traffic flow in the desired because isolation is not perfect.
(Leakage current (syn, earth current)) - IEV 151-03-35.
Earth leakage current
all leakage currents and capacitive currents between a conductor and earth.
(Earth current) - IEV 151.

interference currents
current flowing at a certain point on the electrical grid because of disruptions at other points on the network. (Fault current) - IEV 603-02-25.

short-circuit current

a) overcurrent caused by a very small impedance disturbance near zero between two active conductors which in normal operating conditions of different potential. (Short-circuit current) - IEV 441.

b) overcurrent due to a short circuit caused by interference or relationship
one in electrical circuits. (Short-circuit current) - IEV 441.

c) the current flowing in a particular point on the electrical grid due to a short circuit at another point on the network. (Short-circuit current) - IEV 603-02-27.

overcurrent

a) the current value exceeds the value of the highest rated; (Overcurrent) - IEV 151, 441.

b) any current that exceeds the rated value; for conductors, the rated value is the ability Conductivity Flow (CRC) Conductor concerned.

operating current (operating current)
a current value at or above the value of the release (release) can work.
(Operating current (of an overcurrent release)) - IEV 441-16-45.

rated current

a) the current underlying operating electrical equipment manufacture.

b) (winding a transformer) - current flowing through a winding transformer line terminal, which is obtained by dividing the wattage by the winding voltage and appropriate phase factor. (Rated current (of a winding of a transformer)) - IEV 421-04-05.

A residual current
the algebraic sum of the instantaneous current value, flowing through all active conductors of a circuit at a point of the electrical installation.

operating residual current
The smallest current that can mengetripkan residual current protective device in time
determined.

current trip (current bidas)
current that causes the protective devices to work.

B

active part
conductive or conductive part intended to be energized in normal use; including a neutral conductor, but under the agreement (convention) does not include the PEN conductor.

NOTE The active part is by no means could lead to the risk of electric shock. (Live part) - IEV 826-03-01.

conductive section
section capable of delivering flow, although not to be used for servicing current drain. (Conductive part) - IEV 441-11-09.

conductive parts that are not part of the electrical installation and may pose a potential, usually earth potential. (Extraneous conductive part) - IEV 826-03-03.
