Kapil Sharma is an Indian stand-up comedian, actor, TV host and producer. He hosted a largely popular television comedy show Comedy Nights with Kapil from June 2013 to January 2016. Currently, he is hosting another comedy show on Sony Entertainment Television named 'The Kapil Sharma Show'. He first appeared in the Forbes India Celebrity list in 2013, ranking 93rd on the list. He moved up to 33rd in 2014. He was also awarded the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year 2013, in the Entertainment category. He was ranked at no. 3 in the Most Admired Indian Personality List by The Economic Times in 2015. Sharma was nominated for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which he accepted. In September 2015, he was invited to the Rashtrapati Bhavan by the President Pranab Mukherjee to acknowledge his contribution towards the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. He made his Bollywood debut with Abbas Mustan's romantic-comedy Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, which released on 25 September 2015.
