La Biblia. Apócrifo APPLICATION description
El término apócrifo (griego: απόκρυφΠς 'oculto, secreto'; latín: apócryphus) ha sido utilizado a través de los tiempos para hacer referencia a algunas colecciones de textos y de escritos religiosos sagrados surgidos y emanados en contextos judíos o cristianos, que no han sido incluidos en el canon del Tanaj judío hebreo-arameo, de la Biblia israelita Septuaginta griega, así como tampoco de ninguna de las distintas Biblias usadas por distintos grupos de cristianos.
Existen controversias tradicionales entre los diferentes grupos confesionales en el seno de la tradición judeocristiana; dado que cada uno entre los principales grupos (cristianos ortodoxos, cristianos orientales - coptos, eutiquianos, siríacos nestorianos, etc. - , católicos romanos, protestantes y otras tendencias) ha venido planteando a través de los siglos algunas importantes diferencias con respecto del canon de los grupos restantes, y ha ido reservando el término de «apócrifos» para distintos grupos de textos y de escritos no incluidos en su propia versión del Canon bíblico, aunque estén en la de otro u otros.
Doce de estos libros: Tobit, Judit, el Resto de Ester, Baruc, la Epístola de Jeremías, la Historia de Susana, la Historia de Bel y el Dragón, el pasaje Daniel 3:24-90 (en el cual se contiene la Oración de Azarías y el Himno de los tres Jóvenes), Sabiduría, Eclesiástico, 1 Macabeos y 2 Macabeos, finalmente serían aceptados por los distintos grupos históricos cristianos (cristianos ortodoxos, cristianos orientales - cópticos eutiquianos, siríacos nestorianos, etc. - y católicos romanos).
