Ricky dan Drie mengajak Sonny (gitaris) yang merupakan adik kandung Ricky FM, Sanny (vokalis) dan Dicky (drum) melalui telepon. Dalam tempo kurang dari lima menit, mereka berhasil membentuk sebuah grup band guna mengikuti festival tersebut. Itulah sebabnya mereka menggunakan nama Five Minutes. “Karena prosesnya kurang dari lima menit. Makanya kami memilih nama itu”, tutur Ricky FM. Hebatnya, kendati baru terbentuk, mereka langsung menjuarai festival band yang diikuti oleh 102 peserta dari Bandung dan Jakarta. Keberhasilan itu kemudian mengantarkan mereka masuk dapur rekaman.
