Nacida en 1997, es hija de Alejandro Stoessel, un conocido productor de televisión argentino y Mariana Muzlera; tiene un hermano mayor llamado Francisco.
Inició su formación artística desde muy joven, realizando estudios de canto, piano, comedia musical, teatro y baile. Su primera participación en televisión fue en 2007 con un papel menor en la telenovela argentina Patito feo. Más tarde en 2011, Stoessel fue la encargada de ponerle voz a la versión en español del tema «The Glow» («Tu Resplandor»), que en inglés lo interpreta la cantante Shannon Saunders. El tema forma parte del álbum Disney Princess: Fairy Tale Songs.
En 2011, con 14 años, Stoessel fue elegida por los productores de Disney para protagonizar la serie de Disney Channel Violetta, una coproducción entre Latinoamérica, junto a Europa, Medio Oriente y África, donde interpreta al personaje de Violetta Castillo. Stoessel canta el tema musical de la serie, publicado el 5 de abril de 2012, y titulado "En mi mundo", y también canta la versión en italiano, titulada "Nel mio mondo" y la versión en inglés, titulada "In My Own World". Por este papel ganó un premio a la "Actriz revelación" en la edición de 2012 de los Kids' Choice Awards Argentina y el Martin fierro a la actriz revelación. También prestó su voz a algunas canciones de los álbumes de la serie.
En 2013 y 2014 volvió a protagonizar la segunda y tercera temporada de Violetta. En septiembre de 2014, cantó en el Partido Interreligioso por la Paz, convocado por el papa Francisco en el Estadio Olímpico de Roma. Cantó dos temas: "En mi mundo", en italiano, y luego "Imagine", de John Lennon, en inglés.
El 25 de marzo de 2016 protagonizó "Tini: El gran cambio de Violetta", película que da fin al ciclo infantil, "Violetta". Además presentó el single «Siempre Brillaras» como canción principal del filme, por el que recibió el premio Quiero a mejor músico instagramer.
En abril de 2016 edito TINI, su primer disco solista, bajo el sello discográfico Hollywood Records. Luego de tres horas de haber lanzado el disco fue disco de oro en Argentina y meses después disco de oro en Austria, y por último fue disco de oro en Polonia. En julio presentó «Great Escape», su primer sencillo y video solista.También lanzó «Yo me escaparé», versión en español del mismo, con la inclusión de un video dance. También se convirtió en la cara de la marca de ropa Cher. Stoessel es considerada la nueva reina del pop argentino, por su desempeño fuera de su país de origen que la convierten en no solo la reina, si no en la argentina más famosa del mundo ( planteado por medios de todo el mundo).
