Als Mitglied des weltweiten Lions-Verbundes, der weltgrößten privaten Hilfsorganisation, identifizieren wir uns mit den Zielen von Lions International.
Lions möchte den Geist gegenseitiger Verständigung unter den Völkern der Welt wecken und erhalten, die Grundsätze eines guten Staatswesens und guten Bürgersinns fördern, aktiv für die bürgerliche, kulturelle, soziale und allgemeine Entwicklung der Gesellschaft eintreten. Die Clubs sollen in Freundschaft, Kameradschaft und gegenseitigem Verständnis verbunden sein und einsatzfreudige Menschen bewegen, der Gemeinschaft zu dienen, ohne daraus persönlichen Nutzen zu ziehen. Lions International verbindet derzeit ca. 1,4 Mio. Menschen weltweit. Wir haben uns zum Ziel gesetzt, durch materielle Hilfe vor Ort und persönliches Engagement den Lions-Gedanken in Benrath umzusetzen. Das besondere Ziel unseres Clubs ist daher die Förderung von Projekten für hilfsbedürftige Kinder und Jugendliche im Düsseldorfer Süden . Hierzu führen wir eigene "Activities", Aktionen, im Sprachgebrauch der Lions durch.
