Metal Detector or metal sensor is the Smart Tool for detect metal with a magnetic sensor.
Metal Detector app measures magnetic field with an embedded magnetic sensor.Metal detector is a portable metal detector.By detecting nearby electromagnetic fields using the phone's built-in magnetometer/compass, you can locate nearby metal and magnets.
Metal Detector is an application which detects the presence of metal nearby by measuring the magnetic field value. The magnetic field level (EMF) in nature is about 49µT(micro tesla) or 490mG(milli gauss); 1µT = 10mG. When any metal(steel, iron) is near, magnetic field level will increase.You can also use it to find metallic studs and wiring behind walls. Depending on your phone, you can use it to detect metals up to 30cm away, and magnets from far, far away! Note that household equipment like TVs, and computers or even your phone case can affect readings.
You can also see a reading trend through the graph, or switch to the compass mode to find the direction at which the current is coming from! You can also record the readings to a .csv file for tracking or research.
Metal Detector allows to identify any metal object in area, because all metals generate magnetic field which strength can be measured with this tool.
Metal detector cannot detect gold, silver and coins made by copper. They are classified as non-ferrous that has no magnetic field. But maybe you will find metal box with some treasure inside!
