Minerva PHR Viewer

Minerva PHR Viewer is a must have Android app to display Personal Health Records (PHR) exported from Minerva Health Manager (a Windows program purchased separately from the MyMinerva.com website). Minerva PHR Viewer quickly provides access to critical health information on your mobile devices for you and your family that can be used for Emergencies and Healthcare visits, whether you are at home, on vacation, in school, or traveling for business.

Minerva Health Manager and the Minerva PHR Viewer are a great alternative for users of Google Health and Microsoft HealthVault. With Minerva, you maintain your personal health records in the privacy of your home where they are safely stored on your home computer - not on the Internet.

With Minerva PHR Viewer you can carry your complete Personal Health Records anywhere you want to go. You choose which information you want to store on your device by using the Export Wizard in Minerva Health Manager. Select specific health sections or everything, including attachments, and your records are made portable for you to view when access to health information is critical.

Minerva PHR Viewer can display personal health records exported from the current version of the Minerva Health Manager (v 9.0 or later) as follows:

STEP I. Export Personal Health Record files from Minerva Health Manager:
1. Open Minerva Health Manager and use the 'File' menu to select the 'Export Wizard'.
2. Select the export option to create a self-contained file of your selected Personal Health Records for viewing on mobile phones and devices.
3. Save the exported PHR file and put it on your device. This can be done several ways:
a. Save it directly to a folder on your device.
b. Save it to a microSD card if your device and computer supports that media.
c. Use Dropbox so you don't have to plug anything into the computer.
d. Or simply save it to your computer and copy the file to your device.

STEP II. View your Personal Health Records on your device using Minerva PHR Viewer:
1. Open the Minerva PHR Viewer app on your device.
2. Import your PHR file.
3. Select the person whose health records you want to view.
4. Scroll to move quickly up or down in the report, or use the menu and select a Health Topic to jump to that portion of the report.
5. Medical Alerts, if any, will be displayed at the beginning of the report.

To quickly display your Medical Alerts and Emergency Contacts using Minerva PHR Viewer:
1. Open Minerva PHR on your device.
2. Select the person whose health records you want to view.
3. Use the menu and select the icon for 'Medical Alerts' or 'Emergency Contacts'.

Minerva PHR Viewer is installed with a sample PHR for information purposes. It is available only if you have not yet added your health records. To display the Sample PHR:
1. Open Minerva PHR on your device.
2. Tap the 'View Sample PHR' Button.

Minerva PHR Viewer is recommended for Android devices 2.2 and higher.
Minerva PHR Viewer will run on Android 2.1 devices but the display speed may be slow depending on the size of the PHR file.

Minerva Health Manager users who do not see the option to export to the Minerva PHR Viewer should run "Check for Updates" in the Minerva Health Manager and update to latest version.
