Ceramics that have a ceramic coating This is the type most abundant in the market for floor and wall applications. Layer is applied with a high temperature so that it blends with the ceramic body. Ceramic density and water absorption
These two factors are closely interconnected. Usually, the density of ceramics is directly proportional to the combustion temperature. The higher the density the less water that can be absorbed by the ceramic. This determines the function of ceramics in the design application.
Ceramic that absorbs water more than 7% only for indoor use and is not resistant to weather changes.
Ceramic that absorbs water between 3-7% only for indoor use and is more resistant to weather changes.
Ceramic that absorbs water between 0.5 - 3% can be used in indoor or outdoor, but not resistant to sun and rain directly.
Ceramics which absorb water less than 0.5% is the type most resistant to sun and rain directly.
