Ceiling is part of the construction of a barrier layer between the frame of the building with a roof frame, so it can be as tall buildings or it can be said under the framework of the roof. Ceiling or often called the ceiling is an area on the inside of the building room. Basically, the ceiling is made with the intention to prevent hot or cold weather to avoid direct entry into the house after passing through the roof. However, today's ceiling is no longer just a resistor heat or cold, but also as a decoration that will further enhance the interior of a building.

Ceiling is divided into three types, namely:

1. Accoustical Ceiling: serves as sound insulation and reduce noise levels.
2. Lominous Ceiling: functions for casting light and give the room a special light effects
3. Baffle Ceiling: serves to reduce noise and give a certain atmosphere in the room.

Benefits / uses ceilings are as follows:
1. For a room under the roof always look clean and not visible from the timber roof frame.
2. To hold the dirt away from the plane of the roof through the cracks of tile
3. To withstand splashes of water, so that the whole room is always protected
4. To reduce the heat from sunlight through the roof area
