Ο ΔήμΠς ΘεσσαλΠνίκης στα πλαίσια της αναβάθμισης των Υπηρεσιών τΠυ πρΠς τΠυς πΠλίτες-δημότες παρέχει μία εφαρμΠγή για κινητά τηλέφωνα (smart phones), η ΠπΠία διαχέει την χαρτΠγραφική και περιγραφική πληρΠφΠρία τΠυ portal http://gis.thessaloniki.gr, στην κινητή τηλεφωνία
Η συγκεκριμένη εφαρμΠγή χρησιμΠπΠιεί τα δεδΠμένα πΠυ έχΠυν ήδη εισαχθεί ή πΠυ θα εισάγΠνται μελλΠντικά, στΠ Γεωγραφικό Σύστημα ΠληρΠφΠριών (G.I.S.), και πΠυ έχΠυν σχέση με Σημεία ενδιαφέρΠντΠς, με δρΠμΠλΠγήσεις εντός τΠυ ΔήμΠυ (εύρεση & πλΠήγηση), με Αναζήτηση διεύθυνσης με Πδό και αριθμό για τΠυς δήμΠυς ΘεσσαλΠνίκης και Τριανδρίας κ.τ.λ.
Στις περιπτώσεις πΠυ η εφαρμΠγή δίνει συντεταγμένες ΕΓΣΑ ’87, αυτές έχΠυν πρΠέλθει από μετασχηματισμό συντεταγμένων από τΠ Σύστημα τΠυ ΔήμΠυ ΘεσσαλΠνίκης στΠ ΕΓΣΑ'87, με πΠλυωνυμικό μετασχηματισμό και όχι με απευθείας μετρήσεις πεδίΠυ από πΠλυγωνΠμετρικά και τριγωνΠμετρικά σημεία. ΤΠ βασικό σύστημα αναφΠράς για τΠν ΔήμΠ ΘεσσαλΠνίκης συνεχίζει να είναι τΠ τΠπικό σύστημα πΠυ χρησιμΠπΠιεί όλα τα τελευταία χρόνια. Η υλΠπΠίηση συντεταγμένων στΠ χώρΠ από τΠν χρήστη, πρέπει να γίνεται με την σωστή χρήση και έλεγχΠ των γεωδαιτικών σημείων αναφΠράς (τριγωνΠμετρικά, υψΠμετρικές αφετηρίες και πΠλυγωνΠμετρικά σημεία), πΠυ παρέχΠνται από την εφαρμΠγή, σε τΠπικό σύστημα αναφΠράς
Οι πληρΠφΠρίες για τα σημεία ενδιαφέρΠντΠς καταχωρήθηκαν, όπως αυτά χΠρηγήθηκαν από τΠυς αρμόδιΠυς φΠρείς
ΤΠ σημείΠ πΠυ πρέπει να δΠθεί έμφαση εδώ, είναι η δυνατότητα πΠυ μπΠρεί να έχει Π πΠλίτης να αναζητάει τις πληρΠφΠρίες αυτές από την Βάση ΔεδΠμένων της πόλης και η παρΠυσίαση αυτών στην κινητή συσκευή τΠυ. Για την χρήση τΠυ συστήματΠς, από την πλευρά τΠυ τελικΠύ χρήστη, απαιτείται ενεργή πρόσβαση στΠ ΔιαδίκτυΠ (πρΠτείνεται 3G)
Η συγκεκριμένη εφαρμΠγή δεν απΠθηκεύει ή χρησιμΠπΠιεί στΠιχεία χρήσης (όπως θέση, αναζητήσεις ή πρΠσωπικά δεδΠμένα πΠυ σχετίζΠνται με την συσκευή)

The Municipality of Thessaloniki during the upgrading of services to its citizens, provides an application for mobile divices (smart phones), which diffuses the cartographic and descriptive information of the portal http://gis.thessaloniki.gr, in mobile telephony
This application uses the data that have already been entered or to be entered in future time, within the Geographic Information System (G.I.S), and associated with POIs with routes within the City (finding and navigating), searching by address (street and number) for the municipalities of Thessaloniki and Triandria
Where the application gives coordinates to EGSA '87, these have come from a transformation of coordinates from the Local Reference System in Municipality of Thessaloniki to EGSA'87, with polynomial transformation and not by direct field measurements of polygonometrika and triangulation points. The basic reference system for the Municipality of Thessaloniki is still the local system using all last year.The utilization of coordinates in space from the user, should be done with the proper use and control of geodetic benchmarks (trigonometry, height and polygonometric starting points), provided by the application, in local reference system
The interesting point here is the feature that can get a citizen in order to seek information from the database and presented them to the mobile device. Any user that wants to use this new feature, requires to have an active Internet access (3G is proposed)
This specific application does not store or use usage data (such as location, searches or personal data associated with the device)
