The description My Tracks Apk

My Tracks records your path, speed, distance, and elevation while you walk, run, bike, or do anything else outdoors. While recording, you can view your data live, annotate your path, and hear periodic voice announcements of your progress.
With My Tracks, you can sync and share your tracks via Google Drive. For sharing, you can share tracks with friends, see the tracks your friends have shared with you, or make tracks public and share their URLs via Google+, Facebook, Twitter, etc. In addition to Google Drive, you can also export your tracks to Google My Maps, Google Spreadsheets, or external storage.
My Tracks also supports Android Wear. For watches with GPS, My Tracks can perform GPS recording of tracks without a phone and sync tracks to the phone. For watches without GPS, you can see your current distance and time, and control the recording of your tracks from your wrist.

This app is awesome. It tracks most things and my favorite thing about it is that it is very light. Recommended for any low end to hign end phones. Although I sometimes do wish they would enhanced it a bit by adding some extra tracking features like lifetime distance travelled, categorized by method eg. Walking, running, biking, driving, etc. Also achievement points like other fitness apps withoung being too bloated like them. Better sharing options for various social medias would also be great.

Used all summer, was happy with it, then in August it started having gaps in my routes. I just got a new Android 5.1 phone, was excited for the problem to go away. First run was even worse. If I set Location to "Device Only" it works like a champ, but that uses lots of battery the rest of the time and other Google apps keep pestering me to switch to "High Accuracy" which is a usability pain.

I'm a bit disappointed with the app at the moment as it is only recording half my journeys. Started happening after the latest update to android 5.0 on my galaxy S5. Please sort this out...

I've used this app for years, and have hundreds of miles of runs & rides on it. But in the last couple of months, it's been completely dysfunctional. Competing a track and saving leads to it saving four or five identical tracks, and worst of all it's stopped communicating with GPS properly, falling to accurately track even half of my regular routes. Other apps (ahem) work perfectly fine on my LG2, so it's something with this app. So sad, since a year ago, & for years before, it would have been 5 stars.

I love it. I thought I was having accuracy issues on more than one model of phone, but then I was able to get good tracks. It might have been how I was carrying it. I could understand if it was buried in a pocket but that wasn't it. Anyway, it got better. Also, maybe that I gave my phone more time out in the open to establish handshake with more satellites.

I don't know why it got all the negative reviews, it worked fine for me and I was pleasantly surprised as I live in a remote area where I would have thought it was harder to get a good signal.. I do have one suggestion and that is that it should take into account the weather conditions, and the same with Google Now. e.g. Google Now tells me it will take me 20 minutes to get to work (cycling) because there's no traffic - traffic doesn't slow me down, but wind resistance does!

Used to have some minor gps/logging issues so the distance was 3-5% off. Timing is now okay but the distance is wrong...c'mon Google stop adding features and just fix the app.

Used to work great on my Samsung GS3, i upgraded to a Samsung Note 4 and the reliability of GPS tracking went to hell. Drops the track numerous times in a loop resulting in a truncated distance/elev/etc. Exact same degradation results for my wifes phone (good on gs3, bad on note 4). Have not reinstalled yet. Tried running Samsung S Health tracker concurrently with My Tracks and got accurate loop results in s health with bad results in my track. Not a GPS rcvr issue.

Walking in open areas it constantly loses signal and captures half my walk. Bloody useless

This app is not accurate. The GPS keeps dropping and ending my walk well before I actually finish. When I end recording, the map shows me miles back. I wish it worked because it looks like it would be a real cool app.
