What are Certified Personal Trainers (CPT) ?

Personal Trainers are a Fitness Professional who performs exercise prescription and instruction. Personal Trainers encourage clients by making goals & giving feedback & accountability to clients. Personal Trainers also measure client's strengths + weaknesses with fitness assessments. Fitness assessments may be performed before & after a exercise program to determine their client's improvement(s) in physical fitness. Personal Trainers may also educate their clients in many other aspects of wellness besides just exercise... including General Health & Nutrition Guidelines. Qualified Personal Trainers will find their own areas of expertise and specialization. If a Personal Trainer thinks that one of their clients has a medical issue that could prevent the client from safe participation in the exercise program then they must refer the client to the proper health professional for prior clearance in order to continue working with their Personal Trainer.
