Sri Abhinawarama Nenasala of Aswedduma, Kurunegala is part of the island wide network of Nenasala Centers founded as a concept of His Excellency Mahinda Rajapaksha, the President of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka with the aim of providing opportunities to rural communities to access universal knowledge through the services of Sri Lanka Information and Communication Technology Agency.
This has been a centre for knowledge in computer science since 2006. Our aim has always been to build up a rural community equipped with computer literacy, to help them achieve economic stability and also to inculcate in them moral values. We also make endeavors in building up a setting with ethnic and religious harmony.
Web Nenasala Radio that started in 2013 is another novel project implemented by Nenasala District Committee. This has been aimed towards educating the public on the services rendered by Sri Lanka ICTA throughout the country in reawakening the rural community through Nenasala Centres and the efforts made in these centers towards promoting spirituality and social integrity. It is also meant to encourage the small and middle scale entrepreneurs and to educate the public of the skills and achievements of these entrepreneurs.
Nenasala Web Radio is a concept of Rev. Elavitigama Somananda Thero, the Director of Sri Abhinawarama Nenasala Centre.
