Der Name PAUL ist seit Generationen mit dem Dienst an Nutzfahrzeugen verbunden. Als Schmiede und Wagnerei vor mehr als 200 Jahren von der Familie Paul in Vilshofen/Zeitlarn gegründet, zählt das Unternehmen heute europaweit zu den Marktführern im Sonderfahrzeugbau. Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde der Betrieb in Vilshofen kontinuierlich auf die jetzige Größe ausgebaut, die Ausweitung des Fahrzeugbaus Ende der 70er Jahre in Vilshofen und später auch in Passau realisiert. Ein weiterer Neubau in Passau - das Nutzfahrzeuge Service Center - im Jahr 2006 führte weiter zu der heutigen internationalen Bedeutung des Unternehmens.

Das Inhabergeführte Unternehmen PAUL beschäftigt heute rund 360 Mitarbeiter und gliedert sich in folgende Bereiche: Mehrmarken Service Center für PKW, LKW, Transporter und Busse (u.a. MB, MAN,
EvoBus) mit Vertrieb für Mercedes-Benz Nutzfahrzeuge in Passau, MAN Servicebetrieb in Vilshofen, Sonderfahrzeugbau in Passau mit Zweigbetrieb Vilshofen.
The name PAUL connected to the service on commercial vehicles for generations. As a blacksmith and wheelwright more than 200 years ago founded by the family Paul in Vilshofen / Zeitlarn, the company is now one of Europe's market leaders in the special vehicle. Mid-20th century of operating in Vilshofen has been continuously strengthened on the current size, the expansion of the automobile industry realized the late 70s in Vilshofen and later in Passau.
