Perfect Pixel Checker V2 APPLICATION description
Got yourself a brand new phone? Just want to check the integrity of your broken-in phone?
Supports new "Immersive Mode" in Android 4.4 KitKat / Nexus 5.
Immersive mode allows you to check the pixels of the navigation button area on your display as well as the rest of the screen by hiding the on-screen buttons; true full screen!
If you're like me, one of the first things to do is make sure that all of your pixels are firing correctly!
This is a simple app that allows you to swipe between solid colors to test for dead and/or stuck pixels. With the high resolution of screens today, the chances are even higher that one of those tiny pixels isn't working right. If you find a bad one, go ask for a replacement phone!
How to use:
Swipe to the right and look for any discolored pixels against the different color backgrounds.
For example, if you see a green pixel on a red background, that is a stuck pixel. Stuck pixels have a chance of being fixed. If you find one (or more) click the "Fix Stuck Pixels" button at the top of the main screen.
If you see a black pixel that is black on all backgrounds then that is a dead pixel. Dead pixels cannot be fixed.
After running the color flasher, hit the back key to return to the main screen and check if your stuck pixel(s) were fixed.
**When attempting to fix stuck pixels your screen brightness will increase and colors will flash rapidly**
If you have the previous version of this app installed (previously listed as a separate app on the Play Store, "Perfect Pixel Checker"), please uninstall it as it will no longer be updated.
